A Structured Day. A Better Dog.

What to Expect

Drop off: 7:00–9:00 AM Pick up: 5:00–7:00 PM Monday through Friday

While they're with us, your dog isn't just being watched. They're being worked with:

❋ Group Classes

to build focus and impulse control around distraction.

❋ Private Sessions

targeting your dog's specific goals.

❋ Structured walks

to build calm, confidence, and leash manners.

❋ Treadmill time

for dogs who need to burn real energy, not just run laps in a yard.

Why Day Training Instead of Daycare

Traditional daycare means hours of unstructured play with a rotating cast of dogs, most of whom aren't being corrected, guided, or taught anything. Dogs learn fast in that environment. Unfortunately, what they learn is usually not what you want: resource guarding, over arousal, reactivity, jumping, bad recall, and a general belief that chaos is normal.

Day Training flips that. Your dog is still social, still active, still around other dogs. But every interaction is guided. Every part of the day reinforces the training you're already doing at home, so you're not fighting an uphill battle every weekend trying to undo what daycare built during the week.

The Way We Train

We train balanced. That means every dog starts with food. We build motivation, teach behaviors, and make training something your dog actually wants to engage in, not something forced on them.

Once a behavior is understood, we add tools like prong collars and e-collars as needed to make sure that behavior holds up outside of a training session, when there's a squirrel, another dog, or real distraction pulling your dog's attention away from you. Food teaches the behavior. Tools make the behavior reliable.

We're not anti reward and we're not tool obsessed. We use whatever gets your dog to a place of real understanding and real reliability, on leash, off leash, at home, and out in the world.

Problem Behaviors We Work On

Day Training isn't just for dogs who need basic manners. It's built to make real progress on the behaviors that actually make life hard, the kind that don't fix themselves with time or more walks.

We work on:

  • Leash reactivity, toward dogs, people, or both

  • Pulling and pure lack of leash manners

  • Jumping on guests or strangers

  • Poor recall, dogs who "hear" you and ignore you anyway

  • Resource guarding, food, toys, or space

  • Counter surfing and general impulse control

  • Excessive barking, at the door, in the crate, or in the yard

  • Separation anxiety and struggles with being left alone

  • Nervy or fearful dogs who shut down or spiral around new people, dogs, or environments

  • Overall lack of structure, dogs who've never really been taught how to just exist calmly

If your dog has a specific issue you're dealing with at home, day training gives us five days a week to actually work on it, not just manage it around the edges.

Who This Is For

This is for the busy owner who refuses to choose between "my dog is cared for" and "my dog is trained." You're not looking for a place to dump your dog for the day. You're looking for a place that treats every hour as an opportunity to build the dog you actually want to live with.

If you want a dog who comes home tired instead of wound up, confident instead of reactive, and further along instead of further behind, this is built for you.
